Cosy Joes is Newcastle’s leading party destination. This popular, Bigg-market based venue boasts 2 bars of DJ-led music and entertainment, and 6 booths offering a private karaoke experience.

Throughout Cosy Joes, BeeBox supplied technology helps drive an impressive customer-focused night out:

Downstairs, the digital signage facility on a regular BeeBox System showcases the bar’s drink and entertainment offerings, inter-spread with customer photographs. Resident DJ, Wee Phillie explained one of the key benefits of the BeeBox:

“The software is very easy to use. I can take photos, and have them on the screens within minutes…. That sort of turnaround speed is very important in a fast-paced bar like Cosys.”

The booths upstairs, known as “Party Pods”, are booked by groups who wish to sing karaoke in private – and are sold out every weekend. The party pods hold up to 25 people and can be hired by the hour.

The pods run BeeBox’s Partyoke software which allows customers to select and play tracks using a intuitive touch-screen interface.

“Come on Eileen” – a karaoke favourite at Cosy Joes!

The recently-upgraded software also boasts a “suggestions” feature which allows customers to browse a curated list of tracks based on genres, moods and languages.

The suggestions lists are put together and maintained by the experts at Sunfly Karaoke, who also supply the tracks on the systems.

In The Mood for Dancing? A customer selects the disco genre from the Partyoke suggestions list.

The staff at Cosy Joes love the new features. Manager Jack Taylor explains:

“The systems have an immense choice of tracks, and we often have customers who don’t know where to begin…. The new suggestions feature is particularly good for this….. The category called ‘I Can’t Sing’ is a personal favourite of mine!”

The upgrade, and choice of categories on offer have been generating great interest on social media…
